Notts TV Sports Week
Every Wednesday Notts TV films an episode of Sports Week which is aired at 19:30 the same day. I had the opportunity to assist the sound technician in the setup and recording of the show every week and it has been a really different and insightful experience. The job entailed shadowing the current sound technician in the jobs that needing doing, gradually having my own input and helping do the jobs that need doing, such as miking up the guests, scratch testing the mics and dealing with the patch bay.
The Notts TV episodes I have been a part of are 29/03/17, 05/04/17, 10/05/17 and 24/05/17.
In each episode there is a different setup and different guests so the running order changes. The call sheet is emailed out a few days before in preparation but is generally the same each week. Upon arrival I was given a picture of what the room setup should look like and a run order of what will be in the episode so that everyone knows what is going on and when
