Mixing 'Red Hands'
For this track, I contacted John Watson, my old A-Level music technology teacher, to ask if there is anything I could do for him within the music industry. Her replied to me saying that he would really like to see what I've learnt since going to university compared to what I knew during my A-Levels. For this he asked if I could do a second mix of my A-Level coursework track 'Red Hands'.
The track is a cover of an already existing track by Walk Off the Earth, as the task was to record a full cover of a song. The track received a B at A-Level, and so I thought it worth investing the time in to see if I can up the standard.
The end result was a lot better than the original recording and so i feel that i have improved a fair amount since my A-Levels. I will be taking the track into my old school to see my client over summer, in order to play it for him in the studio and see what he thinks.
