Recording Vocals for Red Hands
I decided to re-record some of the vocals for a track I was mixing for a client, as the vocals in it were out of tune in some places. I managed to get hold of vocalist to come in and record them for me. Luckily he already knew the song so getting him ready was very easy.
The track I was recording for work was a cover of 'Red Hands' by Walk Off the Earth for which I assembled a group of musicians, including myself, to play the different parts for me. The mixing of the track can be found here.
The recording time was booked for Thursday 23rd March 2017 for 2 hours and again the following Thursday, the 30th March, at the same time to get the rest down.
I recorded 3 or 4 different takes of each section in the track to get as much as possible to fit into place in the mix stage.
